CrossFit Basepoint is available at Unit 22 with our usual WODs, just book a Conditioning class.
What is CrossFit?
CrossFit is a branded fitness regimen and is constantly varied, high intensity, functional fitness. Classes incorporate elements from several sports, types of exercise and training modalities like Olympic weightlifting, gymnastics and powerlifting to provide a well-rounded workout that will improve health and fitness as a whole without targeting specific skills. CrossFit workouts can be adapted for any age and level of fitness, from people who are just starting out to people who have trained for years.
Constant variation
Different every day, CrossFit workouts are tailored to the individual.
Functional movements
CrossFit uses safe, effective and efficient movements similar to those you use every day in life.
High intensity
In CrossFit workouts, intensity levels are adjusted to challenge the individual and safely improve fitness.
WOD
WOD is a CrossFit abbreviation for Workout of the Day and this is the workout that will be coached throughout the day.
CrossFit classes
Classes run for an hour starting with a dynamic warm up, mobilisation and WOD prep.
Open gym
Open gym means that members can do their own workouts and this time is not led by a Coach.
